Sustainability is an effort to conserve the earth's limited resources and to pass on beautiful nature and the quality of everyday lives to the next generation. FUJIKURA COMPOSITES aims to help solve social issues and realize a sustainable society through environmental considerations, sustainable energy use, and collaboration with society as a whole.

Sustainability Initiatives
In April 2023, we established a Sustainability Management Office in the Administration Division to collect and analyze sustainability information from all of our business sites to strengthen our sustainability initiatives. The Sustainability Management Office centrally manages the company's sustainability information, and the Board of Directors monitors the results. This way, we strive to further improve corporate value and disseminate information to deepen stakeholders' understanding. Furthermore, from April 2024, the Office became directly under the president to further strengthen our overall approach to sustainability.

We operate in various business areas that empower society, including those related to "Better Life," "Monozukuri," "Energy," "Human Lives," and "Leisure," under our philosophy to continue to be a company that enhances the quality of life and fosters a sense of safety for everyone in society. At the same time, we aim to realize a sustainable society and continuously enhance our corporate value by valuing harmony with nature and society, caring for people, and promoting sound business management.

We will strive to enhance corporate governance and achieve long-term, stable growth through fair and sound management. We will use the following approaches to increase management efficiency and transparency: appropriate and prompt decision-making and business operations; positive relationships with stakeholders; compliance with laws and regulations; monitoring and supervising business operations from a broad perspective that extends beyond the scope of individual duties; and more effective use of management resources.

We will contribute to global environmental conservation and sustainable development of society by actively reducing CO2 emissions and waste in our business activities, as well as promoting environmental sustainability in our procurement of raw materials and the development of new products

Sustainability Promotion Structure
The Sustainability Management Office is headed by the officer in charge of climate-related issues and is composed mainly of the Corporate Planning Office and the Administration Division. The chief is responsible for explaining to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee the items subject to evaluation and management concerning ESG in general. The office will also further enhance our overall sustainability efforts, considering the recent significant rise in the importance of sustainability. The duties of the Sustainability Management Office include centralized management and disclosure of sustainability information, the establishment and progress management of sustainability targets (KPIs), reporting to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors (once every half year), monitoring of items for consideration, and giving instructions to the Sustainability Strategy Committee (established in January 2024), which serves directly under the Sustainability Management Office.
